Supporting Ovarian Cancer Research
On Saturday, September 26, 2020, Helen Elizabeth Danyo, loving wife, passed away peacefully at the age of 51 after a long battle with cancer.
Helen was born on September 9, 1969 in Vancouver, BC to Gisela & Edmund Muehlbauer. She graduated from Richmond High in 1987, then received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 1992 from UBC, and a Human Resources Management diploma from BCIT in 2000. On June 21, 2003, she married Rizal Danyo, the love of her life and soulmate.
Over the last ten years, Helen worked as a WCB Compensation Manager, and was a respected co-worker at Jazz Air, where she mastered every task with passion and professionalism.
Helen loved to go cycling and walking around the Richmond Dyke trail. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and shopping for shoes and purses. However, her true passion was travelling to warm weather destinations and suntanning on the beaches. She loved her nieces and nephews and was known for her kindness and generosity.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 17 years, Rizal; mother: Gisela Muehlbauer; brother: Andy (Claire) Muehlbauer; nephews: Christian Spencer and Ethan Warchol; nieces: Emmaline and Sarah Spencer; and many loving family members and friends. Helen was predeceased by her father, Edmund Muehlbauer and her sister, Cathleen Muehlbauer.
Due to current restrictions, her memorial service will be limited to immediate family members and invited guests at the Garden of Gethsemani Chapel on Friday October 2, 2020.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made towards Ovarian Cancer Research at BC Cancer Foundation.
