October 9, 1970 – April 14th, 2025

A remarkable person, an inclusive and influential educator, an outstanding father, and a beloved husband, Jason Andrew died suddenly in the midst of his battle with cancer on Monday, April 14th, 2025.

Our deepest gratitude goes out to his team of doctors at the BC Cancer Agency: Dr. Christine Simmons, whose hope brought Jay to tears; Dr. Paul Clarkson, whose straightforward approach Jason appreciated, and who brought our focus back from despair to gratitude; Dr. Dilshaan Panjwani, who kept Jay free of pain; Dr. Michelle Bale, who first tried and advocated for Jay's survival; and Dr. Azadeh Arjmandi, whose clarity and compassion are second to none.

Synovial sarcomas are one in a million, rare tumours and, honestly, real assholes.  May your contributions in memory of Jason bring hope to another family.
