Lydia chose to make living with cancer a part of her daily routine rather than a battle, which allowed her to enjoy many wonderful adventures as well as loving visits from family and friends.
She was truly grateful for the level of care provided at the BC Cancer Agency, especially from her oncologist Dr. Anna Tinker. She participated in a number of trials and studies, including the Personalized Onco-Genomics (POG) program. Unfortunately none of these provided a solution for her cancer.
Lydia will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and engaging personality. Her positive attitude in her personal and professional life, even after her cancer diagnosis, motivated and uplifted many people.
She requested donations specifically to Endometrial Cancer Research because there is currently no way to screen for her cancer, making early detection very difficult.
