North Delta Minor Hockey Fights Cancer
On February 4, 2024 World Cancer Day, three of the North Delta Minor Hockey Association (NDMHA) Sun Devils Teams will be taking part in the inaugural North Delta Minor Hockey Fights Cancer night at the Sungod Arena in the Sungod Recreation Centre located at 7815 112 Street, Delta, BC. The three teams will be wearing special North Delta Minor Hockey Fights Cancer jerseys in honour of our two players who each lost a parent in December 2023.
Three hockey games will be played at Sungod Arena:
- 5:45 pm - NDMHA U13-A2 Sun Devils vs Richmond U13-A3
- 7:30 pm - NDHMA U15-A2 Sun Devils vs. Ridge Meadows U15-A4
- 9:15 pm - NDHMA U18-A1 Sun Devils vs. West Vancouver U18-A1
An admission fee of $5 will be charged and all proceeds will be donated to the BC Cancer Foundation, in keeping with the wishes of the families.
The focus of the North Delta Minor Hockey Fights Cancer night is to pay tribute to both the two NDMHA parents that we lost as well as to the people who have battled cancer and are currently in remission. We want our event to increase awareness and education: to encourage everyone to not ignore signs and symptoms and to get checked/screened for cancer.
We hope to see you at the Sungod Arena on Sunday, February 4, 2024! Please consider donating online if you're not able to join us.
