SUPPORTING RESEARCH AND CARE AT BC CANCER
On March 29, 2022, Richard Cameron Mayhew lost his battle with cancer. Richard fought a difficult two and half year battle against an aggressive form of Lymphoma. He approached each stage of his journey with courage and strength. With every up and down, with each piece of good and bad news, he stayed calm, remained positive, and, of course, found a punch line.
Richard received excellent care from the BC Cancer Agency and had strong admiration for all of the staff who cared for and supported him. He took pride in participating in new and advanced treatments, which he hoped would be the cure for his cancer. He often said that if the treatment didn't work for him, it was his hope that participating would lead to improved treatment and outcomes for others battling lymphoma.
Richard would have been honoured to have donations made on his behalf to support research at the BC Cancer Agency.
He will forever be missed by his family.
