SUPPORTING RESEARCH AND CARE AT BC CANCER
Tommy Lowe, aged 75, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2023 with his family by his side.
Family was of utmost importance to him; in fact, one could say that he didn’t have any hobbies of his own and that his only hobby was any activity that allowed him to spend time with family. As Tommy’s children grew up and grandchildren became a part of his life, “Ye Ye” cherished every moment he was able to spend with them. It was in all these moments where you could truly see Tommy’s happiness shine through.
In the last 2 years of his life, Tommy was diagnosed with peritoneal mesothelioma. Despite the diagnosis, he remained optimistic and was determined to spend as much time as possible with his family. Treatment was not easy for Tommy undergoing several surgeries and chemotherapy, however, he persevered through it all with the support of Francita and his family, as well as the staff at BC Cancer. The treatment and care allowed him the opportunity to create further fulsome memories for himself and those around him. He could not have been more thankful for the compassionate and considerate care he received from all of the nurses, pharmacists, allied health, and physicians.
On behalf of Tommy, we greatly appreciate and express our gratitude for your donation to the BC Cancer Foundation.
