SUPPORTING BC CANCER RESEARCH IN MEMORY OF ANNA CELLER
Dr. Anna Celler was a highly respected, published, and cited researcher in the field of Nuclear Medicine, a professor at the University of British Columbia (UBC), the founder and director of the Medical Imaging Research Group (MIRG), and advisor to three decades of Masters and Doctoral students. To many she was a collaborator, a colleague, a coworker, a mentor, and a friend, but to me she was Mom.
On December 24th 2020, Anna Celler passed away after a two and a half year battle with uterine clear cell carcinoma (a rare form of uterine cancer). Much of her treatment took place under the care of the BC Cancer Agency, and included the use of diagnostic imaging methods she helped develop during her career.
She will be dearly missed and to me there is nothing that can replace her or bring her back. However, a donation to BC Cancer Agency could extend her legacy by funding the type of research to which she devoted her life, and by improving the understanding and treatment of the disease that ultimately took it.
The BC Cancer Foundation accepts US dollar donations and Gifts of Securities. Please note there will be a delay in your gift appearing on this page.
