Dr. Gnee Khong Ho was a family physician for 50 years in a small community in Malaysia. Upon retirement he moved to Vancouver to be with his children and grandchildren. Unfortunately he was diagnosed with a rare head and neck cancer shortly after settling in North Vancouver. After a courageous battle for 2 years he died peacefully on April 22, 2022 at the age of 75 years old. The family is grateful for the compassionate care he received at the BC Cancer Agency and at Lion’s Gate Hospital, where his son, Dr. Jin Ho, and his son-in-law, Dr. George Mak, both work.

Gnee Khong dedicated his life to his family and was well-loved by his patients. He is blessed to be married to his first love, Molly, for 50 years. Together they have raised 2 children and have 4 grandchildren. He was a pillar of support and a listening ear to all who needed him. He led a contented life and found pleasure in gardening, reading and spending time with his family. He was a filial son, a supportive brother, a loyal friend, a loving husband, a devoted father and a wonderful grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
