In loving memory of Lara Owen, who passed away at the age of 41.

Lara was born in Burnaby B.C. and lived in Coquitlam, attending Mountain View, Banting and Centennial Schools - graduating in 1998.

Lara was an insurance broker who worked in many offices across the Lower Mainland – holding positions of Office Manager and Regional Manager with InsureBC. She was known for her strong work ethic and positivity.

She was an avid sports fan. A Vancouver Canucks season ticket holder, Lara traveled across North America to watch them play, most recently in Montreal, where they beat the Canadiens.
She also loved traveling to New Orleans to watch her favourite NFL team, the Saints, play – and to take in the city’s culture and energy.

Our girl was a tenacious, fit and healthy non-smoker who was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer in December 2021. She fought the disease courageously but sadly lost her battle the evening of March 15th, 2022 – surrounded by loved ones.

We would like to thank all of the Healthcare workers at who cared for Lara along the way – you are truly angels.

Lara will forever be loved and missed by her parents Lance and Elaine, and her brother Scott – and all the countless family and friends who’s lives she touched along her way.
