In lieu of flowers, we encourage you to make a donation to the BC Cancer Foundation. For almost three years, Quen Kui Wong bravely battled colon cancer and the BC Cancer Agency provided excellent care and support. We hope the donations can contribute in finding cures for cancer and help others recover fully. 

Quen Kui [Rose] Wong born on July 7, 1932 to Chung How Mah and Lap Yee Mah, Foo Loo Dui, Taishan, Guangdong Province, China and on March 9, 2024 received her angel wings to depart for heaven. She joined her beloved husband, Suen Moo [Sam] Wong; youngest daughter, Gale May Low; eldest sister, Ying Yee Wong, and many ancestors. She was at peace knowing so many embraced her with immense love and gratitude because of her generous heart in caring for all who crossed the threshold of her home. Quen Kui was the youngest of three children with a surviving elder brother, Yip Sung (Jim) Mah.

Family was the most important value for Quen Kui. She treasured peace, harmony, faith, health, and love in all family relationships. Her life’s legacy is bonded with love amongst her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild: Diana (Wayne) with Quentin and Maya; Donna (William) with Amanda (Marko) and great grandson Maxwell; Jennifer, and Matthew (Tiffanie); Gina; Stanley (Charlotte) with Jack, Sam, and Mycah, and Gale (pre-deceased) (Curtis) with Faith, Trinity and Nathaniel. She was Aunt Rose to numerous nieces and nephews as well as many other dear friends who are “just like Family”. Everyone will miss her happy delight in seeing them and being greeted with an array of delicious food, including healthy, homemade bowls of soup.
