$49.3 Million Advances Cancer Research and Care in British Columbia
BC Cancer Foundation announced $49.3 million raised for the BC Cancer Agency this year - the result of 95,000 generous individuals.

B.C. Donors Bring Cancer Treatment Lab to Life

An entirely new approach to cancer treatment is one step closer to the clinic with the opening of Canada’s most innovative lab for T cell therapy development at the BC Cancer Agency. Built entirely with philanthropic funds, the Conconi Family Immunotherapy Lab forms the hub of immunotherapy treatment production for cancer patients across B.C.

NETRACER: Compounds to Conquer Cancer
The 2016 Inspiration Gala is setting out to dramatically improve diagnosis and treatment for hundreds of patients diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumours (NETs) - a cancer on the rise in British Columbia.
By supporting the creation of NETRACER, a world-class radionuclide therapy program, the Gala will benefit British Columbians diagnosed with NETs and develop targeted treatments for other cancers, including prostate, pancreatic, breast and melanoma.

Improving Diagnosis of Ovarian Cancer
B.C. researchers led an international study to develop a new method to improve diagnosis of a rare sub-type of ovarian cancer that has been notoriously difficult to accurately identify. The team, funded in part by BC Cancer Foundation, created an algorithm to diagnose and predict the clinical course of granulosa cell cancers of the ovary.
