Before passing away from a rare and highly aggressive type of ovarian cancer, Justin Mattioli’s wife Eileen made the decision to donate her tissue samples to help advance research and find new treatments.

Now a scientific breakthrough is bringing immense hope to other young women facing the disease, as Eileen’s samples are being used as a new cell model, enabling researchers to test the effects of new treatments and to better understand the biology of the disease.
