FAQ

Where does my money go?

The funds you raise for Workout to Conquer Cancer presented by RYU will support life-saving research initiatives into all cancers, including breast, ovarian and prostate—to name a few—where researchers are making world-leading breakthroughs in the prevention, detection and treatment of these diseases. These discoveries would not be possible without people like you.

When is Workout 2018 taking place?

Workout will take place during the month of May 2018, with a commitment to move every day for the entire month.

What do I have to do?

Get moving! Workout to Conquer Cancer encourages you to move every day for the month of May. You can hike, bike, box, swim, stretch, attend a fitness class – the choice is yours. You can choose your own adventure and plan your month using our calendar template, or follow our program created by some of the top fitness leaders in B.C.

How do I register for Workout 2018?

Online registration is open until midnight on Monday, April 30.

How much is registration for Workout 2017?

The registration fee for Workout 2018 is $15 until April 1, then increases to $31 until April 30. You can also waive this registration fee by committing to raising a minimum of $100! Both options are available during registration.

How much do I have to raise?

There is no mandatory minimum, however we suggest setting your fundraising goal at $200. In our experience, this is a very achievable target for a challenge that you are undertaking for a whole month. You can decide to make this higher or lower depending on how much you’d like to raise!

Can I build a team?

Absolutely! We actually encourage it. Working out with others builds motivation, accountability, and camaraderie! Fundraising and team building will be a big part of this month long fitness challenge. Interested in setting up a corporate team? Learn more.
