Meet Felice Lam

With just over one week to go with Workout to Conquer Cancer, participants are getting ready to Pump It Up this weekend!

The first 200 participants to raise $50 between Friday, May 24 and Monday, May 27 will receive an additional $50 matched donation from RYU Apparel. Every dollar will help change the outcome for people facing a cancer diagnosis.

For participants like Felice Lam, the importance of fundraising for the cause is not lost on her:

“Being focused on the challenge has brought up a lot of emotions. Even though it's been a few years since I’ve lost some of my loved ones to cancer, I'm still dealing with grief.

Through Workout to Conquer Cancer, I've learned about so many people who have been affected by cancer, and it's heartbreaking. On the other hand, I think you can find inspiration in those who are faced with cancer like my colleague, Siobhan, who’s reminded me of the power of sharing your own story.

For me, Workout is about creating awareness about the great work that BC Cancer does every day, and trying to fundraise as much as I can. I feel hopeful that with everyone's help, we'll get closer to finding a cure one day.”
