If you haven't looked at the stats lately surrounding cancer, they say that 1 in 3 people will hear the words, "You have cancer".
Me personally I have had my grandma pass away from liver cancer, two aunts and an uncle had breast cancer and just 3 years ago my best friend passed away suddenly from a brain tumour and nobody knew anything! Renee's nanny had breast cancer, one aunt had cancer and currently one of her best friends mom is currently battling cancer.
On March 8, 2014, we will be sweating our way through the most meaningful workout of our lives! We are taking part in Workout to Conquer Cancer in support of the BC Cancer Foundation and the life-saving research taking place at the BC Cancer Agency.
We personally believe that prevention is the key for us all by eating right and exercising but for many it is too late or they are not willing to change and this is for them.
Workout to Conquer Cancer is about joining together with hundreds of men and women who want to support all of those living with cancer today and those who will be diagnosed in the future. Through our sweat, determination and smiles, we will make a difference to the more than 24,000 British Columbians who will be diagnosed with cancer this year.
We are going to Workout for an entire day to improve the lives of all who are impacted by this disease. With your support, we will make a significant contribution to the world-class research conducted by the clinicians and scientists of the BC Cancer Agency. Their work provided exciting new evidence that is changing the way cancer is prevented, detected and treated.
So, as we lace up our shoes, fill up our water bottles and get ready to lunge, laugh and stretch our way through a full day of upbeat fitness sessions, please support our efforts by making a donation to our page today.
