On Sunday, August 12, I am cycling in honour of my mother and father-in-law (see my story here: http://www.cypresschallenge.com/stories-2018/ ) who both died of Pancreatic Cancer in the 11th Annual Glotman•Simpson Cypress Challenge in support of the BC Cancer Foundation and pancreatic cancer research at BC Cancer.
The BC Cancer Foundation is the fundraising partner of BC Cancer. Every dollar raised stays right here at BC Cancer to advance research and enhance care for the people of B.C.
Since 2008, Cypress Challenge has raised over $2.5 million towards finding solutions for the 800 British Columbians who are estimated to be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer this year. Seventy-five per cent of these patients won’t survive the first year, and less than 10 per cent will survive five years.
Investments in science and enhancements to care can make a significant difference for British Columbians. BC CAN change the outcome for each person facing this disease.
With your help, BC CAN break down cancer. Please consider making a donation.
