Justin, myself and others (aka team Love n Joy) will be participating in the Glotman Simpson Cypress Challenge, an annual event to raise funds for pancreatic cancer research and care at BCC. This year it is a virtual event and we will be riding “Lord of the Squirrels” an epic 19km alpine ride in Whistler, BC with 1122m elevation. As a pancreatic (and breast) cancer survivor I know first hand what an impact this money has in moving cancer research forward and making innovative and state of the art treatments available to people like me! This year, 800 British Columbians are estimated to be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. 75% of these patients won’t survive the first year, and less than 10% will survive five years.
