It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen Lam on March 17, 2013. Stephen was born on August 15, 1942 in Canton, China. "Fat Choy", as he was fondly known, was a longtime resident of Victoria and well known in local circles as proprietor of Fat Choy Food Market and Don Mee Restaurant. He was predeceased by his parents in Hong Kong and brother Kwok Lee in San Francisco. Stephen is survived by his family, Francine Louie, along with Kyman (Patricia), Jennie, and Brian (Nadia) Chan, and the grandchildren who brought him so much joy, Connor, Julia and Marcus. Stephen is also survived by his sister-in-law, Agnes Lam and nephew, Nelson Lam and his family, in San Francisco. He will also be greatly missed by his many close longtime friends.
