Welcome to my fundraising page for the 10th Annual Glotman•Simpson Cypress Challenge in memory of Gary Heppell. On Sunday, August 13, 2017, I will join hundreds of fellow cyclists as we ride up Cypress Mountain in support of the BC Cancer Foundation.
Since 2008, over $2.05 million has been raised through the Cypress Challenge. Last year, I raised 750 bucks with the help of some amazing and caring folks (and placed first in my age group)! This year, I'm shootin' for $1000 and a PR ("personal record") on my climb up the mountain.
But this is more than just a ride up a mountain - this is a journey towards a world free from cancer. Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of all cancers, with 600 people in B.C. expected to be diagnosed this year.
One hundred per cent of the donations that we raise through the Cypress Challenge benefit leading-edge pancreatic cancer research at the BC Cancer Agency and Pancreas Centre BC.
Your support will really make a difference.
Thanks for your time!
Your friendly neighbourhood cycling pal,
