Welcome to my fundraising page for the 10th Annual Glotman•Simpson Cypress Challenge in memory of Gary Heppell. On Sunday, August 13, 2017 I will join hundreds of fellow cyclists, as we ride up Cypress Mountain in support of the BC Cancer Foundation. But in my case, I'm going to do it on a Mobi bike share bike, wearing office attire.
Because fighting cancer is work. So I'm hopping on a bike to go to work. Ta da!
Also, I think it will be funny. And we should have our work be fun, especially for a big job like fighting cancer.
One hundred per cent of the donations that we raise through the Cypress Challenge benefit leading-edge pancreatic cancer research at the BC Cancer Agency and Pancreas Centre BC.
Your support will really make a difference. Even if my riding a heavy bike share bike is ridiculous. I'll look silly, but of course I have no shame, and my knees will hate me. Whatever.
Thanks for supporting ill-conceived takes on how to address important causes.
