This February, I’ve committed to Lose the Booze and give up alcohol for the entire month.
It will definitely be a challenge, but I’m doing it for an important cause. While I’m swapping my wine for water, and my pints for pop, I’ll also be fundraising for the BC Cancer Foundation. One in two people in our province will face cancer in their lifetime, so this is a cause I’m willing to be parched for.
Last February I was diagnosed with Testicular Seminoma. THe mass was extremely large and needed immediate treatment. Within two week of my initial diagnosis I had undergone two major surgeries and had started Chemotheropy. For the next three months I underwent intensive treatment and for the past six months I have been workong on rebuilding my body.
During my journey I was so fortunate to receive incredible care and I am hoping that through my efforts in raising funds for Cancer Research that I will be able to help others beat this terrible disease.
I am not out of the woods yet but am so thankful to be feeling better and so much stronger.
It’s going to be a long month, and I’m relying on the support of friends and family like you to see me all the way through February 28th.
Please, will you support me with a donation today? Your gift will directly support life-saving cancer research taking place at BC Cancer – and will play a huge role in keeping me motivated this month.
Thank you so much for your support!
