Capital City Fence-a-Thon

Capital City Fencer's Club is proud to announce we are holding another exciting Fence-a-Thon, a twelve-hour, overnight fencing marathon which benefits the BC Cancer Foundation.

Fencers from around the Pacific Northwest will gather at Royal Oak Middle School on Saturday, May 25, 2019 to fence in the event of the season which will have a competition, a midnight feast, all-night fencing and great prizes.

Entry fees, pledges and donations from participants will go the BC Cancer Foundation in memory of friend and mentor Christian Vidosa, whose contributions helped Canada make a name for itself on world stage of fencing, and who passed away in 2004 following a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Fencers entry fee is $20 for the first event, $10 for additional events and fencers are encouraged to obtain pledges. 

 

All revenue geneated at this event will be donated. Special thanks to Saanich Recreation for providing the venue!

Come on out! Foil, Epee and Sabre competitions start at 7:00 p.m., team events at 7:30 pm, with the finals expected around 11:30 p.m. Fencing will continue after midnight and go right through until 7:00 a.m!

Spectators are welcome to come and see some of BC's best... please bring a donation!
