Like many of you cancer has affected too many people in my life. I'm so grateful that some of those people have conquered the long gruelling treatments and are living healthy lives. Unfortunately not everyone's cancer journey ends that way. In recent years Ive lost my father, my cousin and a close childhood friend to this terrible disease. Yet its not stopped there. It's hit even closer to home, if thats even possible. My husband is currently battling this f&%$ing disease. Cancer has no boundaries and keeps on coming. I'm fundraising for all of them. And all of your loved ones so that someday soon we can find a cure for all cancers.
One in two British Columbians are impacted by cancer. Thats a BRUTAL statistic. That's why I've committed to move and raise funds for patients, survivors and those we've lost. This challenge is more than exercise, it's about joining a community who know that together we can make an impact for those we love and have loved.
This May I'm participating in Workout to Conquer Cancer to get moving and support BC cancer patients. I'm joining others across the province and beyond to move, no matter where we are, every single day of the month.
So, as I get ready to sweat my way through May, please show your support by making a donation today.
