This early spring has been rough, very rough. Our Myles has been diagnosed with a rare adult gastric cancer called Diffuse Infilltrating Gastric Carcinoma. We are all still reeling (and saying WTF!), but Myles has been an absolute warrior. Positive, uncomplaining and just forging ahead with his chemo and other treatments.
So, to support Myles and all the other British Columbians impacted by Cancer this May, we are participating in Workout to Conquer Cancer! Our family is joining others across the province and beyond to move, no matter where we are, every single day of the month.
We are raising funds for one of the BC Cancer Foundation’s key research priorities, genomics and the Personalized Onco Genomics program, in collaboration with BC Children’s Hospital. This is what each of us is committing to do every day:
Nathan - 30 min of PE classes and basketball
Matthew - 30+ mins of physical activity daily
Cole - 30 min of weight training/cardio and/or basketball
Myles- Walk and stretch when I am feeling good. Supervise my brothers and nap when I am not!
Lana- Walk, bike or stretch 30 mins a day
Robert - 30 mins of walking or cycling
Scott - 45 mins of hiking and Stella walking
Hau - 45 mins of hiking/walking
So, as we get ready to sweat our way through May, please show your support by donating today or join us.
Much love, The Lindsay Family
