This May I’m participating in Workout to Conquer Cancer to get moving and support BC Cancer patients! I'm joining others across the province to move, no matter where we are, every single day of the month.
One in two British Columbians are affected by cancer. I had Bladder & Ureter Cancer and have been successful with the battle and am now cancer free. But unfortunately two of my very close friends were not so lucky and passed away recently. That's why I've committed to move and raise funds for patients, survivors and those we've lost. This challenge is more than exercise, it's about a community who believe we can make an impact, even from our homes.
So, as I get ready to walk, run and sweat my way through May for every patient who cannot, please show your support by making a donation today.

We did it!! 31 days of Workouts to Conquer Cancer.
It's been a fun challenge! Nothing like exercising with a team (albeit virtually) with a common goal.
Today I "double dipped" and also did a Run/Walk For Alzheimer's too, so it was a 40 minute walk/run and 30 minute Yoga with Adrienne.

Victoria Day and it's sunny so did an 1 hr & 45 minute hike + 15 min workout. Off to do some gardening now. Must admit my body is getting tired.

It's a rainy Sunday and even Scooby doesn't want to go out for a walk, so it was an indoor 45 minute zumba & arm workout today. I really enjoyed it for a change and will try to continue this after the challenge! I love all the fitness options on Youtube.

Starting Week 3 with a 35 minute run/walk (more walking than running but at least I got the cardio up) followed by 30 minutes of yoga for the lower back and hamstrings. All the gardening I've been doing lately has made my lower back sore again.

Still sore from all the gardening I did yesterday, so it's just a 40 minute walk for me today, although the 4 hours of gardening and backyard cleanup should count a little too.

This challenge has motivated me to start running again.
35 minute walk/run with my dog Scooby on leash and in the rain so was rather slow. + 35 minute youtube yoga session.
