April 29th update:
I wanted to do another update before we head into the month of May. First off, thank you so much for your support and donations. I've been anticipating this month since I knew of this challenge. I can't wait to work hard and show you all how much I appreciate your financial contributions. I have 3 days off purchased for me for the month, one will be May 6th, the day before my full marathon, maybe one on May 8th depending on the outcome, and the last one on May 27th as I will be flying home from vacation with a lengthy airport layover. There's still 70 days left to donate and challenge me to any gruesome/grueling work out you want to put me through! As of May 9th I'll be willing to attempt any challenge you suggest. I'm holding off on committing to major challenges until after my full marathon to ensure I'm injury free and ready to run my heart out in Vancouver. Thanks to every one for following along on my journey and spreading the word. We've made it on the front page list for top donations (#15!) sitting at $325.22 and it's all because of YOU! Hello everyone, it's about time I get this updated and share some information with you all. First off I want to start by saying a HUGE thank you to everyone who has viewed this page, made a donation, talked about it or have shown support to the Bc Cancer foundation previously. I am overwhelmed by the amount of support I've had with this, which is why I'm so excited to share with you our accomplishments so far.
I was signed up for this challenge by my best friend back in February, and within one month we crushed the original fundraiaing goal of $300. Woo hoo!!!!! I cannot thank you all enough for your support in accomplishing this first milestone. I've always had a passion for an active lifestyle and physically challenging myself and I am very grateful to be healthy enough to pursue any of the goals I set forth. With that being said, unfortunately, we aren't all that lucky. By participating in the Workout to Conquer cancer challenge this May, I'm hoping we can reach a goal of $500 to contribute to research that will provide groundbreaking advances in treatment for those affected by Cancer in British Columbia - our home.
Donations will be accepted up until the end of May and if you haven't donated already, I strongly encourage you all to make me WORK for the funds you're so generously donating. I am running the BMO Marathon on May 7th, so I will utilize a day off before the marathon, and maybe one after as I've has three purchased for me. If anyone has a suggestion for a work out they'd like to see me do to earn a buck or two, just say it! I will be updating you via this page and social media to document my days and activity, and show you all how much I appreciate the support.

Hey guys, so my bestie Jessica loves to live a healthy lifestyle, something she wanted to accomplish in her life was to raise money by running a marathon or doing something fitness orientated. Her birthday is coming up on February 28th and I am going to surprise her with her being registered for 31 days of fitness in May to raise money for Cancer research. Help me make this surprise huge! Please donate so that I can show her on her birthday how much we have already raised in support of her goal!
In May 2017, she'll be participating in a month-long fitness fundraising challenge that will have her lunging, squatting and downward dogging with hundreds of others across the province who have committed to make a serious impact in the effort to conquer cancer.
She is going to Workout every day in May to improve the lives of all who are impacted by cancer. With your support, we will make a significant contribution to the world-class research conducted by the clinicians and scientists of the BC Cancer Agency. Their work provides exciting new evidence that is changing the way cancer is prevented, detected and treated.
