In May 2017, I'll be participating in a month-long fitness fundraising challenge that will have me lunging, squatting and downward dogging with hundreds of others across the province who have committed to make a serious impact in the effort to conquer cancer.
I'm going to Workout every day in May to improve the lives of all who are impacted by cancer. With your support, we will make a significant contribution to the world-class research conducted by the clinicians and scientists of the BC Cancer Agency. Their work provides exciting new evidence that is changing the way cancer is prevented, detected and treated.
After being diagnosed with cervical cancer in February 2015, then being rediagnosed with a spread to my lymph system in January 2016, and having gone through 5 surgeries, chemo and radiation, I know first hand the devastating impact of this deadly disease. I'm now a year past my last treatments and I'm healing well, but still living under the curse of cancer's potential return. It's critical that I stay physically fit and strong and by committing to this program I can help my survival potential and also support vital research that the BC Cancer Agency is carrying out to prevent this illness.
So, as I lace up my shoes, fill up my water bottle and get ready to lunge, laugh and stretch my way through a full month of workouts, please support my efforts by making a donation today.
Thank you for helping me to make my workouts pack the most punch!
