This May I’ll be participating in Workout to Conquer Cancer, where I’ll be joining hundreds of others across the province as we get moving every single day of the month in support of cancer research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer.
Most of you know that I love my daily yoga practice, so to make it a real challenge, my fitness goal is to complete 31 Power Yoga classes in 31 days of May at YYoga.
This challenge takes on personal meaning for me, as I lost my wonderful mother, Shaheen Zafar, to cancer in 2010. She continues to be a source of inspiration and motivation for me, so I'm proud to be representing her in raising money for the BC Cancer Foundation and ground-breaking cancer research at BC Cancer.
