This May I’ll be participating in Workout to Conquer Cancer presented by RYU Apparel, where I’ll be joining hundreds of others across the province as we get moving every single day of the month in support of cancer research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer.
One in two British Columbians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. I am included in that statistic, I was diagnosed with cancer at 32. I've committed to break a sweat and fundraise to improve the outcome for people facing this disease across the province. With your support, we will make a significant contribution to the world-class research conducted by the clinicians and scientists at BC Cancer. Their work is providing exciting new evidence that is changing the way cancer is prevented, detected and treated.
So, as I lace up my runners, fill up my water bottle and get ready to sweat my way through May, please show your support by making a donation today.
Day 8 of my #workouttoconquercancer and what a beautiful sunny day we had. I mean, I was at work, but when I got home I was able to sit outside and have a lovely sushi dinner with the hubs.
My activity for the evening was.... I bet you can guess :)
An extra long walk with my pups! We even ran through a field with overgrown dandelions... because Winston, who just turned 1 BTW, loves to eat the tops off! It is the CUTEST thing :)

Day 7 of my #workouttoconquercancer was a sweaty cardio session.
I don't know about you, but getting my sweat on really fills my cup! The endorphins make me HAPPY :)

Day 6 of my #workouttoconquercancer and I am sore from my run yesterday. But that isn't stopping me. Another long walk with the pups to fill my lungs with fresh air and some vitamin D on my skin.

Day 5 ladies and gentleman of my #workouttoconquercancer and this was a BIG day!!
I ran the #BMO 8K and it was a gloriously sunny day in downtown vancouver!
Being down there, running with thousands of people, being cheered on by complete strangers and being thankful for having the ability to run 8k.
I was running for those who could not. And I will continue to do so!

Day 4 of my #workouttoconquercancer was a lovely walk with the hubs and my two pups.
Working out doesn't always have to include gym equipment. Sometimes it's just moving your body and enjoying the fresh air outdoors.
Walking my puppies brings me so much joy :)

Day 3 of my #workouttoconquercancer consisted of 30 minutes of Yoga focusing on balance and flexibility. I was looking after my niece and nephew, so they got in on the action and it turned into Aunty being a human jungle gym :) #auntylife #makingmemories
