This May I’ll be participating in Workout to Conquer Cancer presented by RYU Apparel, where I’ll be joining hundreds of others across the province as we get moving every single day of the month in support of cancer research and enhancements to care at BC Cancer.
One in two British Columbians will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. I've committed to break a sweat and fundraise to improve the outcome for people facing this disease across the province. With your support, we will make a significant contribution to the world-class research conducted by the clinicians and scientists at BC Cancer. Their work is providing exciting new evidence that is changing the way cancer is prevented, detected and treated.
So, as I lace up my runners, fill up my water bottle and get ready to sweat my way through May, please show your support by making a donation today.
Week 1- New Goals
May 5, 2019
Hello, thank you for stopping by to check on my progress. When I first decided to complete the Workout to Conquer Cancer, my initial goal was to fundraise $100. I surpassed that and set my goal to $200... I surpassed that and I am at $450.
Thank you, thank you for your donations!!!
I have decided to update my goal again and change my goal to $500. The money is going towards helping researchers at BC Cancer advance patient care.
If you have seen my instagram and facebook posts you will know what I have been up to this week. For those of you who haven't seen my posts here is the summary.
May 1- Treadmill run.
May 2- Lower body strength
May 3- Upper body strength
May 4- Long run with my running group
May 5- Yoga
I am feeling confident and motivated for the next 26 days.
If you would like to make a donation that would be greatly appreciated. If you want to send me words of encouragement, that would also be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for coming back to read my blog posts. There is less than a week to go and I am planning my workouts for the month. So far I have some running, strength training and Barre workouts planned. Do you have any ideas for YouTube workouts or free apps that might be useful to make sure I get a workout in all 31 days? Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
