This May I’m participating in Workout to Conquer Cancer to get moving and support BC Cancer patients! I'm joining others across the province to move, no matter where we are, every single day of the month.
One in two British Columbians are affected by cancer. That's why I've committed to move and raise funds for patients, survivors and those dear to us who we've sadly lost. This challenge is more than exercise, it's about a community who believe we can make an impact, even from our homes.
As most of you know, I try to get out for a brisk walk with Cam and our furry family member Rufus each morning. My commitment for the month of May has been to add some other type of work-out in each day as well. I can honestly say, I have been doing very well so far! Some of my additional activities have included adding stair lunges to our morning walks every other day, participating in an on-line fitness workout three times a week during my lunch hour, gardening ... a lot including moving a very large pile of topsoil and stone and fitting in a second walk when I can.
So, as I continue to sweat my way through the last few days in May for every patient who cannot, I would be very grateful if you can please show your support by making a donation today.
