For your donation, I commit to working out everday the month of May. My friends will know that for quite a while I've been talking a lot about exercising more, but failing to deliver. At the start of 2020, I set a goal to kick the weight I've gained these past few years by the time I turn 40 in December, but to date, I havent risen to the occassion at all.
Your contribution will undoubtedly solidify my obligation to fulfill my end of the bargain, even as I curse you with each additional knee push-up I'm able to add to my set. So thank you beforehand for supporting my health.
Now cancer. I cannot think of a disease that has impacted more people in the world. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives. How is this a reality in the time of Amazon Prime NOW: if drones can now deliver more garbage to my door within a few hours, how can we still be waking up to this reality?
Solutions take time and money, so whatever you can afford to give at this time (or whatever future time may be better for your situation) is instrumental for humanity to find a way to stop cancer. For my part, I will be matching donations on a $2:$1 basis.
As I type this, I think of my cousin and my paternal aunt who succumbed to their courageous battles and of my maternal aunt who emerged victorious. Also for my mom and many family friends who have dealt with their own scares.
Thank for your donation. To our future world where later generations will only read about cancer in history books.
