This May I’m participating in Workout to Conquer Cancer to get moving and support BC Cancer patients! I'm joining others across the province to move, no matter where we are, every single day of the month.
Since last year's workout I have reached a milestone of One Year post-radiation. I have also just today (May 4th) gotten results that confirm my cancer has NOT returned. For the past 2 months we were concerned that it might be back- or that we did not get it all.
I feel like I have a new lease on life. I can move for those who can't. Like Tamara, the brave gymnast who's team I have joined. We are going to have a Hot Tam Summer for you,girl.
Along with Tamara I have watched 3 other friends fight valiantly but not make it. My workout is dedicated to these 4 brave souls- Niccki- a school friend from my hometown, Ron, my trampoline coach in Kelowna, and Melanie, a long-time neighbour and family friend.
I know things are tough for everyone right now, but if you could spare a dollar or two or a few more, this would mean a lot to me.
I have just purchased a fitbit, excersize ball, skipping rope and along with my excersize bands and yoga mat I'm going to give this my all.

I got back into my gymnastics conditioning today! Did some crunches, pushups, exercise ball stability, and a lot of squats!

I started Early!
On April 30th I got going early!! It was a beautiful day, and I went for a walk around my neighbourhood. Then I blew up the exercise ball and did some core stability exercises. My Fitbit motivates to move and walk all day long. I got to 5800 steps.. not enough- but my job- teaching online is sedentary. I'll make more effort to get to 10,000.
