Pragash Govender, age 54, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2021, after her brave journey with cancer.  

Pragash was a fighter.  She knew that to fight her cancer she needed to have as much information as possible.  Unfortunately, the theme throughout her fight was that we just don’t know enough.  There aren’t reliable statistics.  There aren’t effective treatments.  Despite it all, she tried everything she could to have more time with those she loved. 

Her wish was to raise money for rare cancers like hers through the Rare Gynecologic Cancer Program, led by Dr Mark Carey.
