KICK CANCER'S A$$!

This picture was taken 2 years after my kidney was removed. I had Renal Cancer almost 2 1/2yrs ago. Sept 24, 2009. I'm one of the lucky ones, my kidney was removed, & my cancer is gone. When I was diagnosed, I stood up & looked at DR. Dave McDonald, and said "Letz ROCK N ROLL, what do we do now!?" That was my Attitude Right from the start when I was Diagnosed & have been recovering ever since. My Attitude & Strength surprised a lot of people, Some even thought I was in Denial.
My older generation of friends were scared for me as soon as they heard, including my Mom, she instantly thought Death. I looked her straight in the eye, & said "Its not my time Mom, I need you to be Strong, use my strength & lets do this". Generation thing? Ignorance? I don't know. Attitude, YES.
At the time of my diagnosis, I was 38 yrs old, I couldn't help but stay Positive & FIGHT with everything I had inside, Mentally, Physically. When you have cancer, You have NO choice but to accept & Deal with it. as long as I'm Alive, there is no time for mourning, sadness, or negativity. I demanded & asked that of those around me. It truly kept me stronger when everyone went on with normal conversation over tea, & would move on with everyday life. It really pissed me off, watching the Effect in what it was doing to the people which whom truly Love & Care about me. Once cancers there, its going to fight to stay.

This why why my Title on this Page is "Kick Cancers A$$!" At first, it might seem a bit vulgar & "in your face", but that’s how cancer is, it’s not polite or cute! cancer is Ugly, Invasive, & doesn't ASK to come in. It may take control of our bodies, & take over our thoughts, but it can Never touch our Souls. & it's Not just people, Animals too!! My friend’s Dog "Disney" had Cancer, a gorgeous Golden Retriever has now passed away, walking one paw forward everyday in sky.

I am so thankful for the help, guidance & support from my Mom, Boyfriend, Family & Friends, & Doctors in my recovery as everyday Life goes by.
& Truly lucky to have B.C.'s Amazing DR. Bruce Piercy, Chief Urologist, also known as my "DR. SUNSHINE!!!", his amazing Team, my incredible DR's @ 911 Yates Medical Center, the Staff @Royal Jubilee, whom are ALL very active in playing a part of the BC cancer Research, Because of them, many other Doctors & Nurses & Our B.C. Researchers Teams, I'm only one in Millions that are still here today! now it's My turn "Pay it Forward" and help in this nasty fight against cancer.

Myself, my Mom, my boyfriend, my "bro" Lincoln & OUR BEST BUDDIES EVER!, including Victoria's very own Rockn band BeerC/DC, rallied together to help me in HOSTing my first Annual ROCKN Event called "Kick Cancers A$$! Fundrai$er" & are now Proud partners with the BC Cancer Foundation.

Last year was a HUGE SUCCESS, all because OUR wonderful BC Community, from Victoria to LongBeach Lodge! &, to my Sista, her man & her boss ALL the way to Frt. ST. John!!,,,
That this Year, we decided to do a "2nd Annual Fundraising Event" on Saturday August 11, 2012, @ The Victoria Event Center on 1415 Broad St. downtown., for The BC Cancer Foundation with Live bands, Games & great food. (made some new buddies because of this last year, thank you for being involved again this year, including Underground Magazine for helping Promote & take part in our Event :)

WE NEED ALL THE KNOWLEDGE, RESEARCH, STRENGTH & POSITIVITY WE CAN POSSIBLY GET. The more we learn & correspond with one another, gets the information out there. I cannot stress enough that yearly blood work tests can Help in fighting cancer, & stopping it from spreading it any further. It’s not a matter of IF...... IT'S A MATTER OF WHEN WE KICK CANCERS A$$!!!!! This is why I'm doing these FUNDRAISER's and why it’s so Important to myself & others, its so personal to ALL of Us directly involved or not.

"Kick Cancers A$$!" now has its own Website for our future Fundraising Events. http://www.BCCancerResearchRocks.com xo Carebare
