Rosa was diagnosed with Stage IV Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer in early March of 2013. She fought her illness with courage and grace for over a year with the support of her family and friends. She was also supported by many physicians, nurses, volunteers and staff of the BC Cancer Agency Vancouver Centre who gave her much comfort while she was ill. She passed away peacefully on March 16, 2014 at 8:08am in the presence of many family members. She will be forever remembered as a loving and cherished wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend.
