In Loving Memory of May Lau

In Loving Memory
May Chuey Mei Lau
July 17th, 1948 - May 1st, 2024
May was born in Canton, China, to Raymond and Helen Chung. The eldest of four, she spent her formative years in China before finding refuge in Hong Kong with her benevolent extended family. She later emigrated to Canada where she completed her schooling, made a career as a pharmacist, and met her husband Albert. Together they raised two sons, Michael and Lester.
May believed in the importance of integrity, filial piety, education and hard work. She lived these values and imbued each day with equal measures of each; she sought to transmit the same to her family and loved ones. That is her legacy.
For the last 17 years, May benefited from the care of the BC Cancer Agency and was comforted by her personal doctors. After a full and substantial life, she departed on her own terms. Her family remains grateful for the enduring love and support that courses through the relationships that sustain us all.
