Burnaby Firefighters Charitable Society are generously matching your donations, dollar-for-dollar, up to an incredible $1 million, to support the development of the new BC Cancer – Burnaby McCarthy Centre!
We are now over half-way to our goal of raising $10 million to support the new BC Cancer – Burnaby McCarthy Centre, to meet the cancer care needs of the rapidly expanding Fraser region communities.
BC Cancer – Burnaby McCarthy Centre will:
- Include ambulatory care rooms, chemotherapy chairs, oncology pharmacy, radiation therapy, and PET/CT machines
- Feature space for leading-edge clinical trials to advance vital research across all cancer types
- Greatly increase BC Cancer’s capacity in the Fraser region and ensure families have timely access to world-class cancer care close to home
Firefighters know firsthand the impacts of cancer, as the disease is the leading cause of line of duty deaths in our profession. We are honoured to match donations and hope our community will join us in supporting the BC Cancer Burnaby McCarthy Centre, which will be a pillar of hope in our city.
