Welcome to the registration and fundraising site for the 12th Annual Glotman·Simpson Cypress Challenge, benefiting the BC Cancer Foundation and pancreatic cancer research at BC Cancer.

Since 2008, Cypress Challenge has raised over $2.9 million towards finding solutions for the 800 British Columbians who are estimated to be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer this year. Seventy-five per cent of these patients won’t survive the first year, and less than 10 per cent will survive five years.

Your participation and support will help enable experts at BC Cancer to better understand and treat this disease, bringing hope to families facing pancreatic cancer across our province.


INDIVIDUAL PARTICIPANTS

Individuals have two options when registering:

  1. Pay Entry Fee – No fundraising minimum (but everyone is encouraged to do so!)
    INCENTIVE – The earlier you register, the lesser the fee!
    • $25 before July 1 *EARLY BIRD! 50% OFF REGISTRATION!*
    • $30 from July 1 - July 31
    • $50 from August 1 onwards

  2. Waive Entry Fee – Commit to Fundraising $100 online before August 1 (mandatory fundraising requirement)
    INCENTIVE – Waive the entry fee up front, and then raise $100 online before August 1 to pay no fee! (To qualify, registration and fundraising must be completed online. Entry fee must be waived up front; refunds cannot be issued.)

TEAMS
Teams require a minimum of four members, and have two options when registering:

  1. Competitive Team– $500 team entry fee (no mandatory fundraising)
    Minimum four members; unlimited maximum. Cycle in the fastest team category. Team standings based on times of fastest four members. Captain pays team entry fee. (Registration fees do not count towards fundraising incentives.)

  2. Fundraising Team – Fundraise $100 per team member before August 1 (mandatory fundraising; no team fee)
    Minimum four members; unlimited maximum. Cycle in the top fundraising team category. Mandatory fundraising minimum based on team average. (Registration fees do not count towards fundraising incentives.)

FUNDRAISING INCENTIVES – ALL PARTICIPANTS
Participants can only achieve one of each incentive item. Participants cannot achieve multiple of the same item.

JERSEY

Individuals – Fundraise $500 or more, before July 1 to receive one complimentary Cypress Challenge jersey.
Registration, and fundraising, must be completed online. Registration fees do not count towards fundraising incentives.

Teams – Teams that raise an average of $500 or more per team member before July 1 will receive one complimentary Cypress Challenge jersey for each team member that is registered before July 1.

WATER BOTTLE

Individuals – Fundraise $250 or more, before August 1 to receive one complimentary Cypress Challenge water bottle.
Registration, and fundraising, must be completed online. Registration fees do not count towards fundraising incentives.

Teams – Teams that raise an average of $250 or more per team member before August 1 will receive one complimentary Cypress Challenge water bottle for each team member that is registered before August 1.
