This August, I'm participating in the Virtual Glotman Simpson Cypress Challenge to raise awareness and funds in support of pancreatic cancer research and care at BC Cancer. My good friend, Kristine Thody lost her mom to Pancreatic Cancer at too early an age. As did another dear friend, Nerissa Khan, lose her mom. Many of you have been directly touched and it would be delightful to see this disease stopped from ravaging friends, family and everyone.
This year, 800 British Columbians are estimated to be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. 75% of these patients won’t survive the first year, and less than 10% will survive five years.
We need to act now.
With your help, BC Cancer can continue its vital work to break down this deadly disease.
