Hello friends and family! We are spinning our wheels uphill again this August for the Virtual Glotman Simpson Cypress Challenge to raise awareness and funds in support of pancreatic cancer research and care at BC Cancer.
As you know, Lee was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer three years ago in 2018. The life-saving treatments she received at BC Cancer would not have been possible without the generous support of donors to BC Cancer. A specific example is the VERO advanced radiation therapy delivery system. Lee was incredibly fortunate to have access to this technology, for which the specific method had only been commissioned by BC Cancer 6 weeks prior to her treatment. As Dr. Roy Ma states in the video below, this is a real game changer in cancer treatment. It was a real life changer for us.
