Dear Family and Friends,
We can't believe it's almost been a year since the passing of our mom Linda. Last year we created a memorial page on the BC Cancer Foundation website. Through your generous donations, we were able to raise over $13,000! We plan on having our first annual fundraiser this September called "A Climb for a Cure" in hopes of raising more money for stomach cancer research. We hope that after this event the total will reach $25,000!
"A Climb for a Cure" will take place Sunday, September 12, 2010 on Grouse Mountain at 10:00am. Please show your support by donating on this site and feel free to join us on our hike. Every dollar counts! Just skip one latte this week and donate towards the BC Cancer Foundation instead =)
Our mom Linda was one of the most generous and caring people around. She would be so touched to know that so many people care to make a difference. When she was diagnosed, she was in very good health mentally and physically and never smoked or drank alcohol. This just shows that this devastating disease can hit anybody at any time. The upsetting reality is that many of us have already been personally affected by cancer in some way.
Not having her around has been the most difficult thing we have had to go through and we don't want her passing to be in vain. Please help us make a difference by contributing in honour of our mom. Won't you join us in the fight against stomach cancer?
