It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Johan Tjakko (J.T.) Cazander, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. After a year-long battle with cancer, J.T. passed away peacefully on April 7, 2020, surrounded by his wife and children. We believe that he is now glorifying his Lord and Saviour, forever and ever. "Who is a God like unto Thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He retaineth not His anger for ever, because He delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, He will have compassion upon us; He will subdue our iniquities; and Thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea." Micah 7:18 - 19.

J.T. was born on February 6, 1952 in 's-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands, and immigrated to Canada in 1980. J.T. married his wife Louise and settled in Chilliwack, BC. J.T. was a CPA CGA in public practice for over thirty years. A beloved accountant to many, J.T. had a special ability to connect with every person he met and formed numerous lasting friendships as a result.

Predeceased by his parents Wilhelmus and Jacomijntje, and his brother Bert, J.T. is survived by his dear wife Louise; his children Trichelle Beeke (Dave), Tiffany Delooff (Dave), Brandon Cazander (Alex), and Lindsey Holstein (Daniel); his grandchildren Breyden, Quinten, Emilee, Maiya, Reuben, and Mackenzie; one sister, three brothers, their spouses, and in-laws.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at 10:30 AM. In light of current circumstances, the funeral will be streamed online at http://www.nrcchilliwack.org/listen-live/.

The family would like to thank Dr. P. Galbraith and the oncology team at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre, as well as the care teams in the CGH, ARH, and VGH hospitals. Should family and friends desire, donations may be made to the BC Cancer Foundation in memoriam.
