It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Brenda Anderson who left us on March 30, 2010, after a courageous 3 year battle with ovarian cancer.

It is that time of year again where we start to talk about the 3rd annual Team Brenda fundraiser for ovarian cancer.

This year our fundraising will look different. Instead of walking on the National Ovarian cancer walk in September, we are working with the B.C. Cancer Foundation to have 100% of our funds raised to go directly to Ovarian Cancer Research. One of Brenda’s wishes was that there was more money spent on research for new cancer medications, treatments and early detection of this horrible disease.

We are planning one event this year. On September 30, 2010 we will be hosting a pub night at Jimy Mac’s in Langley. This is where we hosted the pub night last year. This is exactly 6 months since we lost Brenda to this disease and we want to make all the money that we collect to make a difference in the future

The tickets are $20.00 for a beer or pop, burger & fries. We will have lots of door prizes as well as a raffle and the 50/50 draw
