Genaris Cares announces the inaugural launch of the Surrey Sunflower Festival, nestled in the heart of Cloverdale, with net proceeds benefiting the BC Cancer Foundation.

Running from August 4th - September 3rd, this family-friendly event showcases a walk through the farm to enjoy the beauty of 10 different varieties of sunflowers. 

Sunflowers naturally face the sun, and for many it symbolizes positivity and hope. Genaris Cares hopes this festival will give space for celebrating and honouring all the individuals in our community that have been impacted by cancer, while raising awareness around the needs for more investment in care and treatment facilities in Surrey, one of the fastest growing cities in B.C.

The BC Cancer Foundation is the largest philanthropic supporter of cancer research and care in the province. Funds raised at the Sunflower Festival will support the new, state-of-the-art cancer centre planned for Surrey. The new centre will help ensure local families have access to life-saving cancer care - where and when they need it - for generations to come.

Visitors are welcome to take in the beauty of these blooms while being mindful that the farm is a habitat for wildlife in the area and you may encounter many native species of honeybees, who also enjoy the sunflowers!
