OMG Angelica is doing the Vancouver Sun Run
On the week of April 18, 2021 (my birthday week!) I am participating in the Vancouver Sun Run, a 10km event, and will be raising funds for the BC Cancer Foundation
Some of you might be aware that my mom is currently a multiple primary cancer patient, diagnosed with lung and thyroid cancer.
Today, she continues to fight and keep the faith, in spite of her enigma of a case and diagnosis. I am planning to do the Vancouver Sun Run (which, this year, falls right around my 33rd trip around the sun) for her. I don't run, but I will try. I am going to try to keep start moving, and keep trying to be a better, healthier person, for my mom, for myself, for my daughter.
The BC Cancer Foundation is the fundraising partner of BC Cancer. Every dollar raised stays right here, advancing research and enhancing care for the people of B.C.With your help, BC CAN make a difference in the lives of all British Columbians. One in two people in our province will face cancer in their lifetime and BC Cancer is igniting progress to break down cancer, piece by piece, in the labs and clinics.
Investments in science and enhancements to care can make a significant difference for British Columbians. BC CAN change the outcome for each person facing this disease. GO SCIENCE!!! Together, BC CAN break down cancer.
For my birthday, if you were considering buying me a drink, a cookie, a coffee, a donut, or a card, please consider making a donation instead. Alternatively, please wish me so much luck. Running is not my forte. I think of all the people who wish they could move more and how lucky I am that I even have a choice to do something I am not quite accustomed to.
Thank you for your support!

PS- my planned route thus far is to take a scenic trail and end at a tonkatsu restaurant :)
