A NOTE FROM THE HOST:Personally, I lost my stepmom, Mary Lu Takasaki, who was the funniest and sweetest human I had the pleasure of knowing. Even after a stroke, she raised me when my own mom left, and she herself was an advocate in her time, helping make Vancouver wheelchair-friendly. Unfortunately, cancer took her over a decade ago, and not a day goes by that I don't miss her. Since she was such a bright, positive light, this is the best way I can honour her and all her positive influence on me. So I dedicate this show to her.

Cancer has effected so many of us in so many ways, and to often those we lost filled the world with the most light and joy.  So BIG LAUGHS COMEDY wants to use the light of those we lost and use it to produce a comedy show where we can keep some of the light alive with laughter with some of the best comedian this city has to offer.
