Event History

The Vancouver Sun Run has been Canada's largest 10K road race since its inception in 1985. Through the years, the run captured the imagination and hearts of individuals wanting to improve their health and well-being. Today thousands upon thousands descend upon the streets of Vancouver each year in celebration of good health and community! Every registrant has the opportunity to create a personal pledge page and to fundraise for a great cause through participation in the Vancouver Sun Run. Join the race and help us raise funds!

Supporting the Cause

This is the BC Cancer Foundation’s tenth year as a benefiting charity of the Vancouver Sun Run. By fundraising with your participation, you show your support for those who are experiencing life with cancer by providing much needed funds to leading-edge research happening at BC Cancer.

Since 2016, Vancouver Sun Run participants have helped to raise over $175,000 for the BC Cancer Foundation!

Participants are encouraged to follow current health and safety protocols as specified by the B.C. Health Authority.
