On April 19, 2026, I’ll be running the 10K at the Vancouver Sun Run in support of cancer care and research across British Columbia. Just over two years ago, I lost my father, Jackie Irwin, to cancer, making this run deeply personal. I’ll be training from now until race day, starting from a place of being very unfit as a personal challenge and a way to honour him. By taking part, I hope to help fund vital research and contribute to a future where we better understand this disease and can better support those affected by it.
