Run for Carter
In October of 2024 my boyfriend Carter passed away, he was a son, brother, cousin, nephew and friend to many.
Carter excelled in any sport or hobby he tried making any competition insanely hard to beat him at.
He would often be found in the shop working on his trucks and hanging out with his dog Jimmy. Within the last year I have taken ownership over one of carters trucks and it has been the biggest blessing and pain in my ass that I am forever grateful for. I can’t tell you whether Carter would be scared or think it’s kinda cool that I have his truck now
Carter was always the source of laughter in a room and his goofy self not only brightened my life but everyone else’s around him.
He was my best friend and someone I admired for his dedication to doing what he loved, his hard working attitude, and the love he had for those he held close in life, making it a no brainer why I love him as much as I do.
In October of 2024 Carter passed away after his incredibly long and hard battle with cancer. Carter lived life full throttle, with a smile on his face and took any and all opportunities, he made extra time for those he loved and valued his close friendships.
He will be remembered in many ways, some being his love for skiing, farming, boating, trucks, dirt bikes, and street bikes (aka any big, dangerous, loud motorized vehicles that he could do “legal” activities with were what he loved).
Carter initially got me into dirtbikes and within the last year I not only bought a dirtbike but completely shattered my ankle with said dirt bike and am now back to ripping up trails again.
This will be my second year running and fundraising for Carter and after one year of taking on many of carters interests I have learned way more mechanical skills, that skiing as an adult is terrifying and how I am still the biggest hater for his go to cup of plain black coffee.
I ask that you consider making a donation in carters name and share this post to not only show support to the reason why I’m doing this, but to continue to support several other families as they fight against cancer everyday,
Thank you
